ST&RS Wiki

Congratulations on starting St&rs Wiki! It's a brand new project, so it needs a lot of love. Here are five tips to make your wiki great.
  • It's all yours right now -- enjoy it! Once your wiki takes off, lots of people will read what you write. Right now, nobody's looking over your shoulder yet, so feel free to try things out and make mistakes.
  • Make lots of short pages! The hardest thing about writing is looking at a blank page and not knowing where to start. It's a lot easier once you write down your first couple sentences. So take a deep breath, and jump in -- make ten really short pages, one right after another. Once you've started, you can build the pages up slowly, adding a little bit at a time.
  • Link your pages together! Links help you and your readers get from one page to another, so whenever you mention the subject of another page, use the "Add a Link" button to make a link to that page. You should also use the front page to link to all of the most important pages on your wiki. Describe what your wiki is about on the main page, and include links to help your readers find their way around.
  • Add pictures! A well-chosen picture can make a bland wiki page come to life. When you're writing a page, use the "Add a Picture" button to upload a picture from your computer onto the page.
  • When you're ready -- tell your friends! Once you've started a bunch of pages, linked them together and added some pictures, you'll be ready to start showing off your wiki to the world. You probably know people who are interested in the same thing that you are, so tell your friends to check out your new site. Those are your first readers and potential contributors, so give them lots of encouragement.

A good way to stay up-to-date with the latest news and events around Wikia is to visit our Staff blog. If at any time you get stuck, feel free to write to us through our contact form -- we're happy to help!

Have fun! -- Sarah Manley 08:16, July 21, 2011

I did some research of my own and I think I found the site you get your RAWs from ^^, so I don't need to ask you (I forgot to tell you the last time, sorry). But about the infoboxes, there shouldn't be any problems, what things don't work? I think the infobox is fine as it is, it's not needed to make another one. *Bereisgreat (shout!) 20:04, August 6, 2011 (UTC)

Yeah sure :) *Bereisgreat (shout!) 20:23, August 6, 2011 (UTC)

Oh, and this, the pictures that you uploaded... I'm not really sure they can really be used as profile pics. I mean, most of them are pretty low quality and almost all of them don't portray the character well. The pictures I uploaded for Fifie and Maho's mother, that's what I'm aiming for. Can I replace the current ones with my style of pictures or do you have any objections? *Bereisgreat (shout!) 20:09, August 6, 2011 (UTC)

Well that was clarifying. Uhm, I understand you want to use the 16:9 ratio and just for this wiki, I'll try to.. No, I will upload every picture in 16:9. So, that's fine with me. By the way, I also always upload in PNG, because it's just better quality, so we agree on that one there xd.
For Fifie Collins, I'll upload the same pic with 16:9, don't worry about it.
Now Umika Shirafune... I understand that the profile pic should be as recent as possible and I want that too, but there just hasn't been any clear shot of her in the present and she hasn't changed much in appearance, so I say the current one is the best choice. Of course, I'll re-upload in 16:9.
That's that, and I'll re-upload those pictures in a sec. *Bereisgreat (shout!) 20:52, August 6, 2011 (UTC)

Hey fanofanime I think we need to update most recent chapter and maybe make a poll?

ah, i apologize i had not seen that ManikWorld 02:35, January 18, 2012 (UTC)

Ah okay, I just got this infrastructure fixation so when categories aren't linked in a massive tree it's like "wah". Right now Manga is the only category in Category:Manga so I figured putting chapters (since they refer to manga chapters I think) into it would make sense. Noticed Category:Staff no longer has pages in it, now Masaru Miyokawa and Ryōsuke Takeuchi aren't organized, regardless of what it's named wouldn't it be easier to keep track of wiki content if it's in categories? Could chars + chaps go into browse or Category:Content or something instead? +y@talk 12:01, February 2, 2012 (UTC)

That's the best asnwer by far! Thanks for contributing.[]
